The Brooklyn Mile is a road race that runs along Kent Avenue and through the heart of Williamsburg. Unique in its ability to stoke the fire of the most competitive runner, but also in its wide appeal to people of all abilities and experience levels, the Mile is an iconic distance. Experience Brooklyn's only road mile this summer. All monies earned from The Brooklyn Mile will benefit Girls on the Run NYC.
The course is lightning fast and, well, awesome: straight shot along North Brooklyn's canyon of heroes: Kent Avenue! The race will start south of the Williamsburg Bridge, head north underneath the beautiful span and then along Kent Avenue toward the finish at East River State Park. There are many great aspects of this event including the Battle of the Boroughs competition, the Friends & Family "People's Mile" and men's and women's 4 x 1/4 mile road relays!!
With a motto of "learn. dream. live. run.", Girls on the Run seeks to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

We have partnered up with the incredible production team at After:Miles for an after-party to pay homage to the MILE. Take part in the livest day party in Brooklyn, and witness how After:Miles continues to redefine recovery. Refuel and rehydrate to the vibes set up by our lineup of DJs. View full race replays on the screens at Biba NYC (a first for the BKLYN MILE). Cool down inside or head out to the patio and soak up some sun while you wait for your turn to recover at the Finish Line PT's Runner’s Lounge. We will celebrate the mile distance by serving 3 signature runner-specific drinks to help speed up the recovery process. This and more at A Brooklyn Mile Situation, presented by After:Miles. (Please note that this after party is a separate paid event and open to runners, their friends and family members. Purchase your ticket on the Brooklyn Mile's registration page.)
