SRC 10 Mile Run to Moriches Field Brewery

The post race party will take place on the grounds of the brewery, inside and in heated tents. 
It will feature:

• food
• live music
• lots of Moriches Field Brewery beer

Custom Beer Steins will be given to the top 3 overall and masters finishers.

Pint glass age group awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in age groups starting at 21-24, and continuing with 5 year age groups from 25-29 to 80+

All race finishers will receive a medal.

The race course will be a scenic USATF certified course with water views of Moriches Bay, Senix Creek, and various inlets and waterways in Center Moriches.  It also runs right down Main Street, almost at the half way mark, with a cheering section stationed near stores in town.  Participants will run past parks, over a few small bridges, and up one hill on Canal Street.

All participants will receive a quality, long sleeve, technical fabric shirt.

The charitable element is a key component of this event, with all of the net proceeds from the event being donated. The race has 2 charitable beneficiaries that are near and dear to the Center Moriches community:

• Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck: A camp for individuals with disabilities, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is dedicated to the benefit of children and adults with disabilities aged 6-50 with year-round programming options.
• Helping Makes U Happy: Helping Makes U Happy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to demonstrate how every human is capable of making a difference through volunteering. They believe that "doing good" not only helps the individuals in need, but has a positive affect on your own life as well.

10 participants will have the opportunity to register for the event for only $1, with the promise of fundraising a total of $500 to be split between these two charities.  This will make for an extra donation of $5,000 in addition to all of the net proceeds from the rest of the event, growing the race's charitable impact.

Packet pickup will take place Thursday before the race from 11am to 7pm at Sayville Running Company (19 Main Street, Sayville, NY), and Friday (times tbd) before the event at Moriches Field Brewery (1 Wilcox Avenue, Center Moriches, NY).

There will be no race day packet pickup.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches welcomes you to Main Street at mile 5, for a spectating party.  Main Street will be closed from the baseball fields at Beach Fern Road up until the turn to Neville Park on Canal Street.  Encourage your family and friends to join local merchants and cheer on the runners as they go by.

Join us for 3 free fun runs starting at Sayville Running Company and finishing at a local Sayville bar for a beer on the house.  Training runs are open to anyone, not just registered participants.  All runs will start at 6pm and have an option of two distances.  Stick around for raffles and giveaways from SRC's partner vendors.

• Tuesday, November 26th - 3.5 or 7 Miles - Turkey Drive
• Thursday, December 19th - 4 or 8 Miles

Because of space constraints, this race will be capped at 650 registrants.
Unfortunately, only participants age 21+ will be able to register.
Due to traffic restrictions and the safety of our volunteers, all runners will have up to 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the course.

Parking will take place at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck (2 Chet Swezey Rd, Center Moriches, NY 11934).
