RUN 4 BEIGEL LONG ISLAND - FALL 2023:

The Fall 2023 RUN 4 BEIGEL Long Island is much more than a race - it's a birthday weekend celebration. We will #JustRunFaster for Scott!

Join us on-site at Heckscher State Park and bring your family and friends to celebrate Scott's 41st birthday together. On-site fun for all includes face painting, caricature artist, balloon animals, sticker art and BBQ (BBQ available with additional on-site donation).

RUN 4 BEIGEL is a special event celebrating the life and impact of Scott J. Beigel, beloved teacher, cross-country coach and summer-camp counselor. Donations raised through RUN 4 BEIGEL events support the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization. Every entry, sponsor and donor is a valued partner to RUN 4 BEIGEL as we race to remember Scott and change the world for children in need.

 

ABOUT THE SCOTT J. BEIGEL MEMORIAL FUND:

The mission and purpose of the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund is to help send at-risk children touched by gun violence to summer sleep-away camp.

Scott loved working with children and teaching afforded him the ability to continue with one of his greatest passions, working at summer sleep-away camp. The Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund keeps Scott's legacy of giving back to the kids alive and growing. Through fundraising efforts, event participants, sponsors and private donors, The Fund sends at-risk children to summer sleep-away camp year after year, increasing the number of supported children annually.

In 2022, The Fund presented $283,600 in grants to 6 summer sleep-away camps, funding camperships for 212 children.

 

RACE DAY INFORMATION

11:00a: Package Pickup and Registration opens

12:30p: 1K Fun Run / Walk Begins

1:00p: 5K Run / Walk Begins

Food on-site:

- For an additional on-site donation of $15, BBQ lunch will be available following the race.

- The BBQ will be available from about 12:30pm - 3:30pm.

- Please join the celebration and have lunch with us after the race!
