WHAT IS THE EVL HALF, 5k, & Relay?
The EVL Halloween Half, 5k, & Relay will be a fun filled Halloween-themed event on Saturday October 25, 2025. The event will feature a Half Marathon, 5k, Half Marathon Relay, and kids race. We encourage runners of all abilities to join us!
All the EVL events begin and ends in the charming village of Ellicottville, NY. Running on the beautiful countryside roads of the Southern Tier

HOW?
If you love running, wearing costumes, meeting other people, and having a great time, the EVL Half is for you! Participants are invited to run in costume and enjoy other Halloween related activities but this is by no means mandatory. Get started by registering so you can start thinking about finding a costume that won’t chafe.
What do I get?
Each runner that completes the 5k, Half Marathon, or Relay gets one of our awesome finisher’s medals, cool race t-shirt, race number, safe wave start, snack bag at the finish line to take with you, and a fun time!
Upgrade to a Long Sleeve 1/4 Zips $12 additional over standard entry.

How Do I Verify That I Am Registered?
Please click the "Find A Participant" menu on the left side of this page. There will also be the option to resend your registration confirmation email.
Can I Change Races?
Yes, you can change from the Half Marathon to the 5k or vice versa To change from the 5k to Half you have to pay for the difference in entry fee. There is no refund in entry fee for those wishing to change from the Half Marathon to 5k.

Can I Transfer A Race Entry?
Yes you can transfer an entry to another person until 10/24/25 free of charge. Please click HERE for more information on how to transfer entry.
Can I Defer A Race Entry?
Yes you can defer an entry until 09/19/25 free of charge for one year. Insurance is also offered during registration checkout. Please click HERE for more information on how to defer entry.
Can I Have My Race Materials Sent to Me or Pick Them Up If I Miss The Race
Unfortunately due the nature of organizing and the processes for putting together a one day event we can't mail in person race materials and we do not have a physical location for pickup after the race.
Is there A time limit for the Half Marathon?
Due to agreements with local municipalities and law enforcement, the EVL Half Marathon has a time limit of 3:30.
Can I Run With A Stroller or my dog?
Our event is governed USA Track & Field rules which does not allow strollers or dogs. Unfortunately the insurance provided by USATF does not allow for strollers or dogs at our event.
Can I get a Refund?
We don't offer refunds. Insurance is available for purchase during registration that covers illness, injury, and work commitment.
