Registration

There are three ways to participate in this virtual event:

(1) Register for the race HERE  then download the RaceJoy app and complete the normal 1891 Run course, which is outlined below.  (RaceJoy is a free phone app for iPhone & Android devices.);

(2) If you do not live in Fredonia and cannot complete the normal 1891 Run course, register for the race HERE then download the RaceJoy app and complete your personal run/walk with your own 5k course anywhere.  (RaceJoy is a free phone app for iPhone & Android devices.);

(3)  If you cannot run with a cell phone or are not interested in RaceJoy App, register for race HERE, run/walk the race using the normal 1891 Run or your own course, using your own timing device.  You will be sent an email on July 19th with a link to manually enter your results through the website.

Using the RaceJoy App

RaceJoy is a free phone app  for iPhone & Android devices designed to maximize the experience for both participant and their supporters.  Runners will be assigned a number.  The time period to run the course is July 19-31.

At the starting line runners simply open the RaceJoy App and find their race.  When ready to run, participants press the start button.  If running the normal 1891 Run course, GPS technology will give runners directions, mile splits, projected finish time and encouragement.  Supporters can track runners progress and send messages.   At the finish, runners receive their time and place on the live leader board.  Runners also are able to submit time via text message or through their RunSignUp profile.

(Please note: runners not using the RaceJoy app can report their times for results posting, but are not eligible for medal consideration.)
