Join the Virtual Group Challenge to Run from New York to Chicago

Virtual Challenge Cancelled

Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this challenge. We didn't get the right number of entrants to make this a worthwhile event. We thank you for your interest and encourage you to keep running and walking on your own.

Description

Get ready to start moving! Our unique virtual running challenge is perfect for newcomers and beginner runners and walkers looking to start a fitness journey while connecting with a fun and supportive community.

Everyone who registers will be part of a team where we will virtually run from New York to Chicago, a distance of over 1,000 miles! Together as a group, we'll combine the miles we run to achieve our collective goal.

Everyone who signs up receives a structured training plan created for walkers and new runners, a start-to-run guide, and join our private community to support and cheer each other on. Together, we’ll work towards the goal of running 1,000 miles – the distance from New York to Chicago – in just 30 days.

The key to our success lies in everyone’s commitment to completing the program and contributing their miles as we virtually traverse the Midwest, making it a fun and rewarding fitness adventure.

About Start 2 Stride

The NY-CHI challenge is a new team challenge created by Ben Drew, owner and founder of The Wired Runner. When Ben owned a running store, he used to organize Learn to Run programs and found that people most enjoyed the camaraderie of running together during weekly group runs. Looking to reproduce that for a larger audience, he created the NY-CHI challenge. While you don't get to run with other people physically, it achieves this in another way by allowing people across the country to virtually run together to complete a group goal.
