Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon & 10K

On October 11, 2024, get ready to race in the 54th Annual Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon and 10K.

PACKET PICK-UP IS AT THE NORTH ELBA HORSE SHOWGROUNDS ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10 FROM 4-7PM AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11 FROM 6-7:30AM.

• This event is one of the Lake Placid region's only not-for-profit running/walking events. The event aims to raise funds to support a community-wide wellness initiative and support local youth programming. 
• This event starts and finishes at the North Elba Horse Showgrounds surrounded by nature and the beauty of the high peaks. Our race continues to grow, anticipating over 600 participants in 2025.
• The race route encompasses two moderate hills, one at the start and one towards the end. 
• The start time is 8:00 a.m., with the course closing at noon. 
• For both distances, awards for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and top three age groups including 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39;40-49;50-59;60-69 and over 70.
