Description
Experience the amazing beauty of the Adirondacks while we train on the iconic Lake Placid course. This race is known for its glorious scenery and challenging course. There is something for everyone at this camp. While it's held on the Ironman course, you don't need to be doing IMLP to come to camp as it will be a great weekend of training for triathlons of all distances.
Who is camp for?
-Athletes looking to train hard and have fun, in a team setting
-long distance triathletes of all abilities
-all athletes looking to increase their fitness and knowledge of long distance training and racing
-folks seeking fun and camaraderie
What's Included?
-3 nights/3.5 days of long distance training- swim at Mirror Lake, bike the IMLP course, and run on the IMLP course
-SAG support and aid stations on our long ride and run days- SUP support on the lake
-Daily clinics and educational talks to prepare yourself for race day
-Access to your coaches for support
-Option to lodge with the team (a select number of beds)
*Beds- There are 8 beds available for athletes in our house. There are 2 rooms One with 2 bunk style beds and the other with 6 beds. In the past we had 2 females bunk together and 2 males bunk together in the 2 bed room, and 4 in the 6 bed room. We will try to ensure athletes are housed by gender, however there is a chance that the rooms might be mixed. If you would like to lodge with us and would prefer to room with others of your gender, please let us know upon sign up. We will do our best but can't guarantee.
*Meals-We will have one team dinner on Friday or Saturday (OutFront is paying). Please let us know if you are vegan or have allergies we need to consider.
Camp Schedule: Potential to change to due weather and logistics
Thursday:
3:00-4:00pm-Check in
4:00pm- 5:00pm- 1 loop of the swim course and a short run along Mirror Lake
Friday:
6:30am-7:30am-Recommended breakfast time-on your own
8:30am -11:30am- Out and back ride to Wilmington
11:30-12:00pm- lunch
1:00-3:00pm- open water swim clinic and group swim/transition clinic
3:15-4:30pm- bike maintenance clinic - tire change race
5:30pm-Team dinner (included)
Saturday:
5:30-6:30am-Recommended breakfast time-on your own
7am- 2:00pm- Long ride-56-112 mile options-with aid station and sag support
Optional Transition run- 20-60min
4:30/5pm-Dinner and course talk
Sunday:
5:30am-6:30am-Recommended Breakfast time-on your own
6:30-9:00am- Long Run- 10-20 miles (alternatives possible)- Sag support (1 aid station)
