Get ready to train with excitement as Runner's Roost presents the Gril-Mato 5k training program, starting Wednesday, December 4th, and culminating in the perfect soup and sandwich themed event, the Gril-Mato 5K on Saturday, February 15th. Whether you're new to running or aiming for a personal best, join us for a structured training regimen designed to prepare you for success. The registration and training for this program will include an entry to the Gril-Mato 5k and giveaway associated with the event.
Led by Luke Rogers, a seasoned USATF Certified Coach with eight years of running experience in the Buffalo area, this program is your ticket to achieving your goals. Luke brings a wealth of knowledge, having tackled distances from 5Ks to Ultra Marathons, and he's dedicated to guiding you every step of the way.
The program features group runs twice a week:
Wednesdays at 6:30pm (weather permitting)
Saturdays at 9:00am (weather permitting)
Most sessions will convene at Runner's Roost in Orchard Park, providing a central and supportive environment for your training journey. Beyond the miles, participants will benefit from Luke's expertise in nutrition, sleep optimization, strength training, and recovery techniques. These elements are essential not only for race readiness but also for your overall health and performance.
