The Spirit of Oakley Doakley Virtual Race

Dashers and Ramblers, due to the uncertainty brought by COVID-19 and concern for everyone's health and safety, we have made the difficult decision to transition to a virtual race this year.  

Our original goal for this race was to provide the community with a trail racing event that appeals to both beginners and advanced runners, while benefitting the Tioga Arts Council in their efforts to inspire & support a vibrant, creative community in and around Tioga County, New York. All proceeds will continue to be donated to TAC. Keeping in line with that vision, we've incorporated a few new fun challenges to our race to combine both art and braun. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

Land Challenge

• 4 Mile Finishers - 4 Randomly drawn raffles for finishers (2 Males / 2 Females) 
• 10 Mile Finishers - 4 Randomly drawn raffles for finishers (2 Males /2 Females)
• 4-Wheel Drive - Most elevation gain in the 10 mile race (1 Male /1 Female) 

Art Challenge

• 4 awards for Best Nature Artwork by any finisher (photography, drawings, painting, land art, etc) inspired by the trails
  • Submitted to our Facebook event page by the end of Saturday August 29, 2020
• 2 awards for Best Go-Pro footage by any finisher
  • Submitted to YouTube and shared to our Facebook event page by the end of Saturday August 29, 202

We would much rather see you all in person on race day, but hope you will still enjoy this unique experience. Having said that, if you have already registered, we understand that this is not the race experience you were expecting and will offer the following options:

• Participate in virtual race. No further response required.
• Don’t participate, but donate your registration fee. Please contact us at oakleydoakley4and10@gmail.com no later than July 25, 2020.
• Request a refund. Please contact us at oakleydoakley4and10@gmail.com no later than July 25, 2020

Registration and results will close Saturday August 29, 2019 at 11:59 pm. You may enter your race results at any time between August 1 - 29. If you register and become unable to participate, bib transfers can be accommodated. We apologize, but no refunds will be granted after July 25.
