Join us for the Zombie Run 5k, a run or walk to benefit the Jake Koenigsdorf Foundation (the JKF) - “Reducing the barriers to recovery.” Run with us in person at HecksherState Park on race day, or join us from anywhere in the world by using our virtual option.
The Mission of JKF is to bridge the gap for those affected and effected by Substance Use Disorder (Addiction) who are ready and willing to seek a solution. We are closing the gaps in the recovery road through education, connection, while providing resources to those without access to resources. Funds donated to JKF are used to support entry funding and transportation to recovery facilities that use a peer community model that teaches a solution that have a program duration of four months or longer.
People in active drug and alcohol addiction will do damage to their families, end up in an institution, in jail, die, or they work to build recovery.
We create opportunities for people to take their lives back.
Participants will receive a long sleeve race t-shirt with our zombie race logo
Awards will go to the top overall male and female runners, plus the top 3 winners in 5 year age groups
Think you got what it takes to be the greatest zombie in the bunch? Wear your finest Zombie garb to the event! Our panel of undead experts will pick their favorites and award $50 Amazon gift cards to the six best costumes. Criteria for winning will be determined by the panel, based on which costumes make us laugh, cry, scare us, or binge watch the Walking Dead.
