Race Day Schedule & Arriving and Parking Details
Please read the information below to help you with your travel to FMB race morning:
We suggest everyone come to Fort Myers Beach early for the race on Tuesday. Parking will be an issue with well over 600 registrations for the event. Registration opens at 6AM which is plenty of time to pick up your shirt and bib, in the DiamondHead Resort ballroom, and warm-up for your run or walk.
The race begins at 8AM. What we do not suggest is wasting a lot of time driving around looking for the best spot. Please do not park on side streets, on the beach in the sand, in front of a private residence or in any unauthorized area. There will be NO PARKING in the DiamondHead parking lot due the resort being sold out.
Where to park for the race on Tuesday. The fastest way to avoid searching for a parking spot on race morning is to snag the first spot you see when you come over the Matanzas Pass Bridge. We suggest you park at Lynn Hall park ($2.00 per hour), under the bridge or on Old San Carlos in the town owned spaces ($3.00 per hour), Norms Beach Parking lot ($20 for the day), or any of the other paid and town lots on Estero before you get to DiamondHead. The resort lot is full for their guests so if you drive to DiamondHead you are most likely going to have to turn around and drive back anyway. If you'd prefer not to walk (or jog) from Times Square, Island Carts FMB will be providing two golf carts to shuttle people from the Times Square bus stop to DiamondHead from 6AM to 8AM.
