Three events working together to provide an AWESOME Holiday Experience for you.

CHRISTMAS ON THE CANAL WINTER SPRINTER - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6TH
Every year The City of Canal Fulton hosts a Christmas on the canal event throughout our historic district. We have ice carving demonstrations, a wood carving demonstration, crafts for kids at various businesses, a parade, and we end the evening with our Christmas tree lighting. All new for this year, we are adding a 1 mile sprint from the City's square on South Canal St. towards the YMCA, where they would make the turn heading back to the finish line to complete the 1 mile sprint. All proceeds will be put towards our downtown holiday decorations. We encourage all racers to dress up following a Christmas theme.
This sprint will take place right before the parade. This will be exciting for all racers to have spectators watching and cheering them on throughout their entire sprint. So, bring your families and friends to enjoy the festivities throughout the day and join the race to support our great little City!
SPIRIT OF THE SEASON - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13TH
to the 2025 Spirit of the Season 5K. We are looking forward to hosting the event at our new location - the William McKinley Presidential Library & Museum. The course will be faster than years before and it will give us a more festive feel.
All participants will receive our event KNIT HAT as part of the registration. OPTIONAL event shirts are also for sale during the registration process.

2025 Course Map
The course will start and finish at the base of the steps at the McKinley Presidential Monument. Runners will leave the monument and head down Stadium Park towards Fulton. A 180 degree turn will happen just before Fulton and runners will continue back along the rubberized running path until they are just past 12th St NW. A quick turn back onto the road and a festive finish back where you started.
