Two events working together to provide an AWESOME Holiday Experience for you.
Register for any of the events here. A special discounted rate if you register for both races PLUS you will receive a special gift for doing the Combo Entry. We will announce the gift as we get closer to December!
SPIRIT OF THE SEASON - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13TH - 9:00AM START
The 2025 Spirit of the Season 5K continues in 2025. We are looking forward to hosting the event at our new location - the William McKinley Presidential Library & Museum. The course will be faster than years before and it will give us a more festive feel.
All participants will receive our event KNIT HAT as part of the registration. OPTIONAL event shirts are also for sale during the registration process.
THE FROSTY FROLIC 5K - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20TH - 5:00PM START
The Frosty Frolic is a great family friendly 5k where you will be able to see the Christmas lights as you run along Stadium Park Dr. After you finish enjoy cookies and hot chocolate! Runners are encouraged to wear their holiday favorites such as an ugly sweater, holiday costume, or Santa hat!!
2025 Race Courses
Spirit of the Season 5K
The course will start and finish at the base of the steps at the McKinley Presidential Monument. Runners will leave the monument and head down Stadium Park towards Fulton. A 180 degree turn will happen just before Fulton and runners will continue back along the rubberized running path until they are just past 12th St NW. A quick turn back onto the road and a festive finish back where you started.
Frosty Frolic 5K
The course will start and finish near the Marion Motley Statue in Stadium Park, next to the large parking lot off of Fulton Rd NW. You will pass by the great light displays in Stadium Park. A detailed map will be available in October.
Spirit of the Season Runner Instructions
PACKET PICKUP - You have TWO opportunities to get your bib and knit hat. The first is this THURSDAY at Second Sole in Canton from 4pm to 7pm. The address is 4691 Dressler Rd NW, Canton, OH 44718. We won't be there before 4pm. The second is race morning at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum. This is the RACE SITE. The address is 800 McKinley Monument Dr NW, Canton, OH 44708. Pickup starts at 7:30am.
PARKING - Parking is located at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum. The address is 800 McKinley Monument Dr NW, Canton, OH 44708. Enter off of 7th St NW. Look for the RACE PARKING sign. Overflow parking is in the parking area in Monument Park between 12th St NW and the McKinley Monument.
COURSE - We are running an out and back course starting and finishing at the base of the stairs of the McKinley Presidential Monument. You will run North on Stadium Park Drive to Fulton Dr NW, make a 180 degree turn, and head back. We will veer off of Stadium Park Drive just before 12th St NW and move to the running trail for a small portion of the course.
AWARDS & RESULTS - All results will be posted almost immediately after you cross the finish line. If it is super cold, we will just hand you your awards in the tent area and skip the awards ceremony. PLEASE CHECK WITH US BEFORE YOU LEAVE TO SEE IF YOU WON AN AWARD.
