Evanston 5K and Wellness Day

Join us for the annual Evanston 5K run/walk happening on Saturday, April 12, 2025 beginning at 8:30 AM. Event begins and ends at the Evanston Recreation Center. Food, drinks and post-race activities to follow!

This family-friendly community event will kick off at the Evanston Recreation Center starting at 8:30am and follow a 5K/3.1 mile route through the community. Runners and walkers of all speeds and abilities are welcome!

Benefit:

Proceeds raised will support the year-round operation of the Evanston Employment Resource Center and the Evanston Community Council Food Pantry.

Course Info: Fast, flat 3.1 mile course through the neighborhoods of Evanston. See Course Map section below.

Race Divisions: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

Awards: Top Male and Female and Top male and female in each age group

Post-Race Activities:

After Run/Walk Celebration for adults and youth at Evanston Recreation Center. Wellness Day, 9:30am until 1:30pm will offer a range of services in support of social determinants of health. Services designed to energize community engagement for youth through seniors in summer and fall 2025. 

Registration Cost:

Adults $25 . Youth 17 and under are $15. youth scholarships available

Registration includes shirt, chip timing and pre and post race activities.

7:00 - 8:15 am - Race Day Check in at the Evanston Community Center

7:45 - DJ setup on Hackberry

8:30 - 5K Run/Walk begins

9:00 - Refreshments and post-race activities begin

9:30 - Awards Ceremony

9:30-1:30 - Continue with Wellness Day Activities.
