Now more than ever, we’re so grateful for the community that has funded, volunteered, celebrated, and advocated for The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio through the years. At a time when everything feels uncertain, we find comfort and encouragement knowing that you care about our cause.

The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s 18th Annual Walk, Rock and Run will be held, virtually on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Proceeds support our diversity programs in schools throughout Northeast Ohio, reaching over 14,000 students and youth serving professionals in 11 counties.

Walk or run virtually with us in your neighborhood. Join us on Facebook LIVE, Sunday morning, June 21st at 8:30 a.m.! Click here to link to our Facebook page.Together we can create communities where all people are connected, respected and valued.

Runners, you will have from Sunday, June 21st until Monday, July 6th to complete your race. Once you are done, please email with your finish time to be posted on Hermes Cleveland, and DCNEO websites.

If you have already registered for the 3 Mile Walk or 5K Run, your registration will automatically be transferred over to Virtual.

While much of the world has stopped, our mission to eliminate bias, bigotry and racism will not be placed on pause. That’s why we’re asking you to help us cover the cost of continuing our diversity, equity and inclusion work with students.

We have all seen how the impact of COVID-19 is especially severe for those in marginalized socio-economic groups (people of color, older adults, youth, people with disabilities, indigenous people, members of the LGBTQ+ community, refugees, and migrants).

Our programming, in School & Youth, SHIFT Consulting, and in LeadDIVERSITY, is a strong antidote to the bias, bigotry and racism that has created such inequity.
Our work is needed now, more than ever!

Participating virtually and donating to Walk, Rock and Run, is the safest, simplest, and most effective way to ensure that we can continue our School & Youth programming as we adapt to ever-changing circumstances due to COVID-19.

If you were planning on attending Walk, Rock and Run this year, consider donating in the amount that you would have spent on gasoline, parking, breakfast and coffee, had you attended the event. Please consider a donation of $25 to $50 or more.

While all of us are facing great challenges at this time, we hope that you can find some peace knowing that because of your generosity, we are working overtime to develop an additional program delivery model, Distance Learning.

On behalf of all of us at The Diversity Center, thank you for being a part of our community. Thank you for helping us to create communities where all people are connected, respected and valued. We wish you and your family health, safety, and happiness. With your support, not only will we get through this, but we will come out stronger.

Thank you,
Peggy Zone Fisher
