The Avina Women's Care Run Like A Girl event is back for 2021! We are so excited for the return of this event which will be LIVE and IN-PERSON! As we navigate the post pandemic world we have some changes for 2021 that we think you will like. This year we will have a different venue, accept all genders and present a family friendly event. We are so excited to partner with the world famous Columbus Zoo to bring an unforgettable and wonderful day of fun.
WHEN: Saturday, September 25th 2021
TIME: 8:00am - 5K and 7:30am-Kids' Run (Ages 9-Under)
WHERE: The Columbus Zoo (4850 Powell Rd, Powell, Ohio)
ALL ABOUT IT: Each participant will receive a colorful tee-shirt, race number, finisher medal, post race refreshments, free parking and most importantly a FREE PASS INTO THE ZOO!!! If you are already a ZOO MEMBER just choose YES you will see $9 discount off your entry. Zoo Members must present their pass on race day for entry.

PACKET PICK-UP: To save a little time and have some extra sleep you may pick up your race packet in advance at Columbus Running Company located at 6465 Perimeter Drive in Dublin starting on Wednesday, September 22nd thru Friday, September 24th at 6pm. You may designate anyone to pick up your packet for you, all they need is your name. If you are unable to make it in advance, you may pick up on race morning starting at 6:45am just outside the main entrance to the Zoo. Zoo members should bring their membership cards to be eligible for the member discount. If you are a spectator and a non-participant you will be required to purchase a discounted ticket ($9) to enter the zoo.
If you pick up in advance, you do not need to check-in on race day, just simply proceed to the main entrance to the ZOO with your Zoo entry ticket or Zoo member pass.
RATE SAVER: Ultrafit offers a friends/family discount to any group of 4 or more. All you need to do is register together and the discount will automatically apply at check-out. If you are unable to register all of your group together, just email email@example.com and a special coupon discount code will be issued to you.
NON-RACER ENTRY DISCOUNT: If you bring friends and family that are not running or walking the race, they can purchase discount tickets on race day for just $9. This is a great value as daily passes to the Zoo are either $16.99 for adults and $11.99 for children living in Franklin County and $21.99 (adults) and $16.99 (kids) living outside of Franklin County.
PARKING: Parking for racers will be FREE.
WATER STATION: There will be one water station on the course. Since this is an out and back course, you will have the opportunity to visit the water station 2 times.
STROLLERS: Strollers are allowed on the race course, we just ask that you line up near the end for your safety and the safety of other participants.
POST RACE FOOD/DRINK: After you cross the finish line, ULTRAFIT you provide free water and packaged post race snacks so you may replenish and refresh before spending a great day at the Zoo!
DOGS: The Columbus Zoo does not allow dogs, so our 4 legged friends will have to stay home in 2021!
SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR THE EVENT:
GET VACCINATED! This is a no brainer but we also realize that not everyone will be on the "same page." We're not here to judge but only to make recommendations based upon what we have learned from the CDC. The CDC reports that outdoor events are venues least likely to spread the Coronavirus. Regardless, whether you are vaccinated or not we ask you to wear your face when at packet pick-up and in the staging area for the start of the race.
Sanitizer: Hand sanitizer will be located throughout the designated race "staging area".
Wave starts: We will have "Wave Starts" according to your estimated finish time. It also helps with social distancing since each "wave" will consist of fewer people.
Water station: we're still working on this but we will probably have uncapped bottle water at the "turn-around" water station. Runners and walkers who choose to grab a bottle are asked to dispose of the bottle located near the fluid station OR continue to hold onto the bottle for disposal at the finish line.
Masks: Bring your own masks that you can take off during the race. Upon completion of the event please continue to follow the Columbus Zoo guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing.
