Description
This race is a new fundraiser for lymphoma, hosted by the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. This year's race is in honor of Nolan O'Neil, a 2-year-old from Springfield Ohio, who was diagnosed with AML.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), we're passionate about our mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS volunteers help carry out this mission in so many ways: supporting patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and our community, driving policy advocacy, participating in our campaigns, and helping LLS build much needed capacity.
Student Visionaries of the Year is a philanthropic leadership development program for exemplary high school students. During the campaign, participants foster professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
The title Student Visionary of the Year is awarded to the candidate or co-candidates in each community that raise the most funds during the 7-week competition.
As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization candidates and their teams raise money in honor of a patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. Candidates will select team members who will help them to achieve fundraising goals.
