Description
The Firecracker 5K Run/Walk and Hero HUSTLE are new additions to Springfield Township's annual and wildly popular Freedom Celebration! We created this event to honor the memory of long-time Springfield Township resident Pvt. Sterling "Butch" Rahe, who left us too soon in January of 2024. The Firecracker 5K Run/Walk will offer participants the opportunity to enjoy the terrain of Community Homecoming Park including the new fitness trail, enjoy the fun, competing for top prizes and see proceeds benefit firefighter mental health and scholarship initiatives. The time frame includes:
Advance Registration (which guarantees participants their desired shirt size)
Day-of Registration 7:45-8:45 am
Welcome and Memories 8:46 am
Warm-Up 8:55 am
Runner Start 9:00 am
Walker Start 9:05 am
Hero HUSTLE 9:35 am (yes, we've again convinced are celebrities to don inflatable dinosaur suits and race for charity!
