2025 Ohio State School for the Blind 5K & 1 Mile Walk

Support OSSB Students & Have Fun Doing It!

Let’s come together to support the amazing students of the Ohio State School for the Blind! By joining the 2025 OSSB 5K & 1-Mile Walk, you’ll be helping the Parent Teacher Staff Foundation (OSSB PTSF) provide funding for important programs like the OSSB Marching Band, summer camps, scholarships, grants, and so much more—all designed to help our blind and visually impaired students succeed and gain independence.

Lace up your running (or walking!) shoes and join us on November 2, 2025! Whether you're racing, strolling, or participating virtually, every step you take helps make a difference.

Fun, fitness, and a fantastic cause—what’s not to love? All proceeds go directly to OSSB students.

Options

We offer an in person 5K (3.1 miles) or 1 mile for runners or walkers as well as a virtual option that can be completed anywhere at anytime.

In Person: Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Highbanks Metro Park, 9466 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035.

Virtual: Complete your run/walk whenever and wherever you want. 

Race Day Schedule

8:00 a.m. Race day registration opens at Highbanks. Shirts will be distributed at the race.

9:00 a.m. OSSB 5K and 1 mile walk begins

10:00 a.m. Celebration 

Shirts

Shirts will be distributed at the race. Be sure to pick yours up during registration or during the celebration after the race.

Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. The following opportunities are available: 

• Registration Table
• Course Marshals
• Water Station
• Post Race Snacks
• Set-up crew
• Clean-up crew
• Floaters
