December Dash 6.0 Mile or Kilometer Run/walk and .60 mile Kids' Dash

It's your last chance to celebrate somebody's birthday on Sunday, December 27, 2026! (If you haven't figured it out yet, where have you been??) Let's celebrate with a 6.0 Mile or Kilometer Run/Walk and/or a .60 Mile Kids' Dash! (All are welcome to participate in the .60 mile dash.)

Registration begins at 11:00, Kids' Dash starts at noon, 6.0 race starts at 12:29.

LOCATION & RACE REGISTRATION: Side Cut Metropark 

COURSES:

• 0.60 Mile Course: Point to point course starting on the paved trail. Kids AND kids-at-heart are welcome to participate. (Grownups: We will not be held responsible for pulled hammies or bruised egos!)
• 6.0 Mile/Km Course: Start in the parking lot and proceed to the paved trail

AWARDS:

• All finishers 12 and under in the Kids’ Dash receive a prize, with the top girl and boy getting something extra super-special!
• Top Three overall women (sorry no men!) in running skirts win Second Sole Gift Certificates!
• First 55 finishers of the 5.5 miler will receive a handmade thing too wonderful to describe!
• There may or may not be some additional random prizes as well. (When it's your birthday, you get to make the rules.)

REFRESHMENTS & SHIRTS:

• Visit the December Dash Ortinau Webstore for shirts and fun stuff.
• Water, sports drink, bananas, hot chocolate, maybe some cookies, and CARROT CAKE provided after the race.

ENTRY FEES:

• 0.55 Mile Kids’ Dash is free for all!
• Registration fee: $5.00 (TRRC Members will receive a $5.00 discount. That's right, that makes it free for TRRC members! Oh, the perks.)
