National Public Lands Day is September 27th
Join us to get outdoors to Run, Hike, Learn and Explore on National Public Lands Day. It is an annual event led by the National Environmental Education Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service and other federal agencies. The Buckeye Trail Association shares a strong partnership with our public lands all around the state of Ohio. Learn more about the Wayne National Forest in partnership with the Ohio Environmental Council and the U.S. Forest Service.

Follow the Blue Blazes
The Hike will have a lead and sweep. The hike route will follow much of the course used with the 10K and Half Marathon. However, the hike will go around Tecumseh Lake and Upper Rock Run Lake. The hike map and description of historical locations on the route will be provided at check-in.

If you are new to the experience of Backpacking and would like to improve your skills and comfort level, consider participating in this workshop. The group will be lead by Appalachian Understories with orientation on Friday, starting at 11:00am, leaving for the trail by early afternoon and returning to Shawnee on Saturday. Registration is now open!
