Get ready to get WILD! Employees of the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife have teamed up with Pheasants Forever to present the “Running Wild” 5K Run and Outdoor Skills Challenge this June 20th. This family-friendly event includes a 5K run/walk through EE Wilson Wildlife Area where you can test your skills at trap shooting, spin casting, archery and animal track identification. Each activity will be facilitated by certified hunter/angler education instructors. There will also be music and a wildlife information station at the finish line along with a raptor demonstration by Close Encounters, the educational outreach initiative of American Wildlife Foundation, a licensed raptor recovery program based in Molalla. The event begins at 9:00 am. Proceeds will go towards the 2015 Governor’s Toy Drive Campaign.
