NEW MARATHON = REFORMATTED PROGRAMS!!!
In case you haven’t heard, Dave's Running Shop is teaming up with Garmin for the first-ever Garmin Marathon Toledo on September 21st! To help you prepare, Dave's is offering support for your training journey, whether you're gearing up for the Garmin Marathon Toledo, the Columbus Marathon, or the Detroit Marathon (half-marathon included). We have an 18-week training plan for the Garmin Marathon Toledo and a 22-week plan for the Columbus and Detroit events.
Training the Dave's Way means joining a supportive and fun community of runners and walkers who are all about staying healthy, accountable, and motivated!
We didn't forget about Churchill's Half-Marathon!!! Register for the 2025 Dave's Training Series, and Dave's will provide training and in-person workout opportunities to get you to that November 8th start.
5K/10K TRAINING
You spoke, and we listened! Dave’s Training Director has revamped the 5K/10K Training Program to bring you a fun, energizing experience—with just the right amount of fitness to keep your legs moving. Join us for in-person training up to three times a week, featuring guided workouts and group runs.
REMOTE TRAINING OPTION (online)
The Training Tilt app has been such a game-changer for our remote trainers that we’re now making it available to everyone in the program! One of its standout features is the interactive training calendar, which lets you sync your Strava account or Garmin device to keep your workouts organized and on track.
The Dave's REMOTE TRAINERS will receive weekly coaching advice and encouragement from Dave's Training Team.
BEGINNER PROGRAMS
Dave's beginner half-marathon and 5K training plans are fantastic introductory training options for starting your health and fitness journey, Dave's Running Shop will get you to the finish line with a detailed, 18-week training plan geared toward the Garmin Marathon Toledo event, which has a half-marathon and 5K option.
We’ll gradually increase your mileage by combining running with walking, helping you ease into structured training runs step by step—so you’ll be fully prepared to conquer the distance by race day.
Prior to the start of the training program, you will receive a welcome email regarding the logistics. Best of luck and thanks for allowing Dave's Running Shop the opportunity to coach you.

TRAINING SWAG

THURSDAY TRACK WORKOUT
The track location is TBD but it will take place on Thursdays at 6:30 PM to complete a speed session.
SATURDAY LONG RUN
Local Metroparks/Venues
Every Saturday @ 8:00 AM, we will meet at varying locations throughout the Toledo area to complete the workout or long run required for race day.
* Marathon Trainers will start at 7:00 AM once the long run increases beyond 12 miles.
