Start out your 4th of July celebration with MBH and the July 4th Freedom Run.  Bring the whole family out to celebrate Independance day and help raise funds for Muskingum Behavioral Health (MBH). Participants will have the opportunity to compete in the 5k run/Walk. Families and Pets (leash required) will also have the opportunity to walk with the famous therapy dog Fetch during the Fetch 1 mile walk. Runner and walkers of all ages and skill levels are welcomed!  
All proceeds raised at this event will support the mission of MBH to provide outstanding person - centered recovery and wellness services to individuals and our community.  

WHEN/WHERE
Friday July 4, 2025
Rogge Pavilion and Collegial Woods Trail is located on the Ohio University Zanesville and Zane State College campus - 1425 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701

STARTING TIME
Registration Begins at 7:00am
5k Run/Walk will begin at 9:00am 
Fetch 1 mile walk- will begin at 9:15am 

RACE COURSE
Participants will enjoy the tree lined Collegial Woods jogging trail and the beauty of the Ohio University Zanesville/Zane State Campus.

RACE PACKETS & FINISH-LINE PERKS
Your race packet will include a custom Finisher Medal, a Premium T-shirt with the official race logo, finish line food and beverage.
All participates registered by June 1st are guaranteed a Race T-shirt. Extra T-shirts will be first come first serve on race day.

AWARDS
5k Race - This is a Timed Competitive Event Participants will be eligible for Overall and Age group awards.
Awards will be issued to the Top Three Overall Male and Female Finishers and the top three male/female in each of the following age categories: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. Walkers are welcome!
Fetch 1 Mile Walk - Non-timed event not eligible for awards. Those wishing to be eligible for Awards should sign up for 5k Race.

RACE RESULTS
Automatic Text and Email results will be sent immediately follow a participants finish for those that opt-in. Instant results will also be available on site at the Results Kiosks and at the race website.

Fetch 1 Mile Walk (in person) - Register prior to June 1st - $30/ After June 1st till Race Day - $35
5k Virtual - $35 (includes free shipping)

REFUND POLICY
If we are unable to safely hold an in-person race for any reason including pandemic or mother nature, we will automatically convert all registrations to a non-refundable virtual event as opposed to rescheduling.
