Making Strides for Mental Health

Green Country Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) will be hosting, Making Strides for Mental Health, on May 17, 2025 at the Depot Green in Depot District in Downtown Muskogee.  Please join us for the 5k or 1 mile Fun Run/Walk that will start at 8:00 am.  Our hope for this event is to bring together GCBHS employees, patients, and supporters as we make strides to improve mental health of our community.  Whether you are a first timer or a season runner, you will feel welcome at this event. 

About GCBHS: GCBHS strives to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where those we serve can gain skills and resources necessary to lead healthy, self-sufficient, productive lives.  We do everything to live up to our moto, "Caring People Caring for Others."

Why we are Hosting this Event: May is Mental Health Awareness Month. GCBHS is hosting this run to increase awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness in the lives of those in our community and to celebrate recovery from mental illness. Proceeds from this event go toward furthering the outreach and services to the community regarding mental health.

Run Details Registration Fees:

5k is $30, Fun Run is $20

T-Shirts: Must register by April 30th to guaranteed shirt.  Shirts are first come first serve after 4/30.

Awards:  Medals to the top 3 in every 5 year age groups up to 80 and over and trophies to the Top 3 Overall Males and Females.
