Description
Looking for a great way to start your Saturday morning? Need something fun? Grab your friends and get an early start to your Saturday at the Miles for Mimosa's 5K at Diamond Lake Resort.
Lots of great perks: Chip Timing, Awesome Race Shirt, Finisher Award Medal, Age Group Awards, and best of all; a mimosa to enjoy while you kick up your feet on the deck after the race! We'll have juice and water for those under 21.

We are excited to announce that the charity partner for this event will be Feeding Umpqua (United Community Action Network)!
Feeding Umpqua is a part of The United Community Action Network that strives to eliminate food insecurity. Food Insecurity is defined as a lack of reliable access to enough affordable, nutritious food.
- More than 1 in 10 households are food
insecure in Oregon. - In Douglas County (DoCo), 13,750
people are food insecure or 12.5% of the
population. - 17% of food insecure people in DoCo
make too much $$ to qualify for
government assistance. - Over 18,000 people access the DoCo
Emergency Food Network every month.
How Feeding Umpqua helps:
- Emergency Food Distribution through a
network of 16 food pantries and 6
community kitchens/shelters. - Increasing Food Access to the most underserved parts of our county with a mobile
pantry—The Outpost Mobile Food Center.
In addition, free produce is distributed at
ODHS offices during the summer/fall. - Providing Nutrition Education to support
youth and families with Food Hero @ the
Farmers’ Market and meal kits for pantry
visitors. - Advocacy, networking, and working on
community food system policy.

Volunteering for this race can earn you a $50 Visa Gift Card.
Here's how it works: 1) You sign up to volunteer on the Volunteer page. 2) You recruit 3 (three) others - 13 years or older - to volunteer for this race and have them sign up on the Volunteer page and put Your Name when it asks who recruited them. 3) You and your recruits show up on race day and volunteer for the entire race. 4) After the race, if all qualifications are met, Five Star NTP will mail you your $50 Visa Gift card.

Course & Timing
We’re at Diamond Lake Resort and we'll be running along the paved roadways of the campground along the lake. We'll be chip timing the start & finish. Click Here for Course Map.
Water Stations
We will have water stations approximately every 1.5 miles
Pacing
Participants will need to finish with at least a 16 min/mile pace.
Awards & Goodies
All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal and a mimosa.

- Top 3 Overall Masters M/F (40 yrs+)
- Top 3 Overall Grand Master M/F (50 yrs+)

Virtual Run
Can't make it out to the event site on race day?
Still want to participate or support the cause and have a shot at an award? or maybe you saw the shirt and said: "Sweet...I want one!" Then the virtual race is for you. Run when & where you want, just submit your time by end of Race Day. We'll ship out virtual packages the Monday after event date! *Shipping available for continental US only.
New to Virtual Running? Here's how it works:
Step 1
- Get excited, grab some friends and buddies to join you! Sign up and register for the Miles for Mimosa's Virtual 5K!
Step 2
- Hydrate, grab your buddy (or not), and get ready to get moving!
Step 3
- Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want. Please remember to be safe!
Step 4
- HAVE FUN!~
- Share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route and use the hashtag #MilesforMimosas #fivestarntp #fivestarrunning
Step 5
- Submit your results online via your registration
- You can submit your race time anytime until end of day 6/8.
Step 6
- View your Results Monday after the Event Date.
EVENT COURTESY & REFUND POLICY
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike
conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.
Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided. The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
Packet Pickup
We always do packet pickup on race morning starting one hour prior to the start of the race. If we have an early pickup available, it will be added here.
Sip & Stroll
Not ready or wanting an entire 5K...No problem! This division has the same perks, just no distance requirements or awards.
