We have made the very difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Thin Blue Line Charity Run. We have been watching the phasing and reopening of Oregon and we do not feel confident that we will be able to hold our event this fall. The governor has said that there will be no large gatherings before October, and we do not see the reopening going more quickly than anticipated. If things change, we will hold a low key event if at all possible. Running Y Ranch has already shown their support for our event as soon as it is possible.
While we understand current registrants requesting a refund of their registration, we would ask that you would consider donating the money to Friends of the Children- Klamath Basin. You would be able to receive a tax receipt if you chose to do so.
Friends of the Children is continuing to do a much needed work among youth in our community facing the biggest challenges- I hope that many of you will be able to support them with your registration funds. If not, we understand and will process a refund. Thank you for your support for our community, our law enforcement, and for Friends of the Children.

Join us on May 16, 2020, at 9 am at Running Y Ranch Sports Center for our second annual Thin Blue Line Charity Run! In association with National Police Week.
In association with National Police Week, we are bringing people together for the first annual 5k/10k run to support and interact with our local law enforcement, all while raising money for a great cause!
The thin blue line is an image that represents law enforcement standing together to protect each other and the community from the evil that exists. We often use the thin blue line as a symbol to remember and honor fallen law enforcement and the sacrifice they made. While our local law enforcement appreciates and desires community support and respect, they have asked that the funds raised be given back to an organization that is making a difference in our community. This year we will be giving all proceeds to "Friends of the Children" for the phenomenal work they do in long-term mentorship of at-risk children.
There are 5k walk, 5k run and 10k run options. Family and dog friendly. Hilly and beautiful scenery along the 5k paved trail. 10k runners will loop it twice. There will be prizes for the top female and male 5k and 10k runners. Raffle prize entries for anyone who comes to race day!
