Popular Team Questions
Q. I'm already registered but want to join a team, can I?
A. Yes! Follow these instructions:
- Log into your Runsignup profile, go to my Profile- My Registered Races- OneNYSafe-Manage Registration, then click Group/Team at the bottom of page and Join Existing Group/Team, find the group you want to join on the list and save.
Q. Is this a relay?
A. No, each member will be expected to complete the distance they registered for individually.
Q. Can I combine running/walking miles with bike/wheel miles?
A. No, the One NY Cares Challenge will allow you to log your activity by whether you submit miles that are on foot - running/walking- or on wheels -biking/wheelchair. You may log different activities in the same day, and you will be listed on each leaderboard based on the activity you declared. Running/walking miles are only shown on the Running/Walking Leaderboard for each distance. Bike/Wheeled miles are only displayed on the Biking/Wheeling Leaderboard for each distance. Running and biking miles are not allowed to be combined together to complete a distance. You may, however, compete at one distance while on foot, and at another distance while biking. You will be able to choose your options on your daily submission dashboard in your leaderboard account.
Simply put: we have two (2) submission categories only. 1. Run/walking and 2. cycling/wheel. They will have separate maps.
