Snack Town RunFest 2026

We are proud to partner with Utz Brands, Inc. and WellSpan Health again in 2026 to offer this exciting event!

Local craft breweries will be joining us again in 2026 for the Beer Bash on George (over 21 only)!

Located in South Central Pennsylvania’s Snack Food Capital – Hanover, PA!

Races and Beer Bash on George take place on the expansive and beautiful property of the Hanover Area YMCA which has been serving the community for over 54 years!

In addition to a fun-filled day, or weekend getaway for the whole family, you will receive:

• Long Sleeve Race Shirt for Half Marathon Participants - must register by September 12th.
• Short Sleeve Race Shirt for 5K Participants - must register by September 12th.
• Special Short Sleeve Shirt from Sponsor, David Ross Orthodontics, for Kids Fun Run Participants - must register by SEPT 22
• Custom Finisher Medals for all Half Marathon and 5K Participants
• Utz Brands, Inc. will provide prizes for Overall and Age-Division winners! (exciting prize reveal will be in July)
• Goody bags for each participant will include tickets to sample local brews (post race) at our Beer Bash on George (over 21 only)! Additional beer will also be available for purchase by runners, spectators and guests!  Please bring your ID.

The 2026 Snack Town RunFest will feature a new running course.  Details will be updated soon.

 

Timing: This event will be professionally chip timed by Racine Timing using disposable bib tags on the back of the race bibs. Bibs must be worn on the front of your shirt and be visible at all times.

Perseverance Half:  $75 Registration until 12/31/26; $85 from 1/1/26-1/31/2026; $95 from 6/1/2026- 7/31/2026; $100 from 8/1/2026- 9/30/26; $110 from 10/1/26-10/2/26.  Race Day Registration $120 until 7:15am.

 

Resilience 5K: $35 Registration until 12/31/25, $40 from 1/1/26- 5/31/2026; $45 from 6/1/2026-7/31/2026; $50 from 8/1/2026-9/30/2026; $55 from 10/1/26-10/2/26.    Race Day Registration $55 until 7:15am.

 

Kids Fun Run: $10 Registration. Race Day Registration until 8:00am.

Schedule:
Friday, October 2nd:
12:00 PM - 7:00 PM Packet Pickup at Hanover Area YMCA, 500 George Street, Hanover, PA.
We strongly encourage pick-up at this time!

Saturday, Oct. 3rd:
6:30 AM - 7:15 AM - Packet Pick Up 
7:45 AM - Opening Remarks and National Anthem
8:00 AM - Perseverance Half Marathon
8:15 AM - Resilience 5K
9:00 AM - Kids Fun Run 
8:30 AM - Beer Bash on George (over 21 only)
8:30 AM - Live Music from Half Serious at the Beer Bash
11:30 PM - Race Course closes

Awards: 
Half Marathon / 5K:  Male and Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd place overall and age division finishers.

5K Team Awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place

5K Teams will consist of 3 or more individual runners and can be any combination of genders. Each runner on the team will race as an individual and be eligible for individual awards. The top 3 finishers on a team will have their individual times added together and scored for the team competition.

Age Divisions:
Half Marathon Divisions: Male & Female (19 & under) (20-29) (30-39) (40-49) (50-59) (60-69) (70 & over)
5K Divisions: Male & Female (14 & under) (15-19) (20-29) (30-39) (40-49) (50-59) (60-69) (70-79) (80 & over)

 

 

Injured runners may defer their race registration to the 2026 race provided the Race Director is notified ON OR BEFORE September 4, 2026.  Race registrations may not be transferred to another individual.
