The Walkathon will be the capstone event following our lessons and activities around Jamison’s Core 4 values: Service, Ownership, Attitude, and Respect. It’s a chance for students to put what they’ve learned into action while coming together as a school community. The Jamison community is invited to celebrate and cheer on students during the Walkathon!
In the past, much of the HSA budget came from 100% Jet, but participation and revenue have dropped significantly. To make up the difference, we’ve had to rely on increasing entrance fees and other add- ons so last year we decided to start this Walkathon event. Unlike many schools, we do not want to ask our families to sell cookies, popcorn, or gift wrap. Instead, we’re aiming for one big, community- centered event. The Walkathon will be our “one-stop shop” fundraiser to cover the HSA budget—so that most Jamison events can be free for families and all others can be inexpensive throughout the year!
