Animal House Rescue's Tails To Trails Walk & 5k Race

Tails To Trails is Animal House Rescue's Dog walk & 5k event and is not to be missed!

Tails To Trails began in 2013 and as we head into our 3rd year, we continue to grow each with new sponsors, vendors, advertisers, and participants joining our long-time friends who have been with us since the start.

Tails To Trails Dog Walk: You and your 4-legged friend can walk the beautiful “George & Rita Garstad Nature Trails” which meander along the Yellow Breeches Creek and through the scenic meadows alive with birds and butterflies. If you walk the larger loop, you will cover approximately 8/10 of a mile. The smaller loop is approximately 1/2 mile.

Tails To Trails 5k Race: You and your 4-legged friend can race through part of the George & Rita Garstad Nature Trails and continue through parts of 110-acre The Lower Allen Township Community Park for the 5k.

We ask you to consider participating in our walk or race. Better yet, why don’t you ask your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to join you. This way, you are supporting the dogs directly by allowing them to stretch their legs and commune with nature!
There will be many vendors on hand that day. Animal House will also be running a hot dog and bake sale to satisfy your hunger after a morning of exploring the serene nature trails or running through the park.

Prizes are given to the walkers/runners with the highest amount of pledges collected for their participation in the event -- Top Pledge collector receives a $100 Wegman's Gift Card (donated by Wegman's in Mechanicsburg, PA); 2nd place prize is valued at $50; 3rd place prize valued at $25.
