Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 8th, 2025, and join us at the University of Pennsylvania’s brand-new Ott Center for an unforgettable all-comer’s indoor track meet, hosted by Philadelphia Runner Track Club (PRTC). Whether you're a seasoned athlete chasing World Athletic Standards or trying your first-ever indoor race, this event will be packed with excitement and support for all levels of competition.
Compete in one of the most advanced indoor track and field venues in the country! The Ott Center for Track and Field is a state-of-the-art facility located on the southwest corner of Penn's campus. This premier venue features a banked track, providing athletes with the best conditions for high-level competition.
With automatic F.A.T. timing, a videoboard, livestreaming, pacers, elite athlete opportunities, and a live announcer generating hype and setting the music, this meet is designed to be a memorable experience for all athletes.

Where will the meet be held?
The Ott Center for Track and Field

Can I register as an individual, or do I need to be part of a club?
You can register as an individual or as part of a Club (for the 200m, 800m, Mile, or 3K) or Distance Medley Relay team (for the DMR). The first person to sign up for your group will have to select "Create a Group", create a group name, and password. Subsequent Club and relay team members will be able to join your group and enter the password upon registration.
How do I register for the Distance Medley Relay?
The DMR is open to individuals of all genders. Teams are mixed gender. To register, the first person on your team needs to select "Create Team" during the registration process. Be sure to let your teammates know the team name you select. Then, the next 3 people can opt to join that team. While the registration page shows $0 for the DMR, the cost will be applied at checkout. Each participant will be charged $25 during early bird registration (11/15/24 - 1/6/25), $27.50 during regular registration (1/7/25 - 2/21/25), and $30 during late registration (2/22/25 - 3/6/25, or until the event sells out).
What ages are allowed to participate? Will I be too slow?
Anyone is welcome to participate; however, we recommend ages 16 and up. Races will be organized based on your reported expected pace to ensure a safe and competitive experience for all.
What event should I sign up for?
If you’re unsure, consider these options: for a speed-focused race, try the 200m or 800m. For more endurance, consider the mile or 3000m. The Distance Medley Relay requires four participants. Find some teammates and friends!
How do I edit my answers to race questions after signing up?
- Sign In to RunSignup account.
- Go to your Profile.
- View your events under Upcoming Events.
- Click Manage Registration next to the registration that you are editing.
- Click on the Question menu located on the Navigation Bar of the Race page.
When will the schedule of events be posted?
A tentative schedule will be sent within six weeks of the event, with a final schedule sent two days prior.
Is there food available at the Ott Center?
There will be concessions available at the Ott Center and there are a number of nearby restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and convenience stores.
Are showers and lockers available at the Ott Center?
No.
What’s the track surface?
It is an 18-degree banked track.
Will the meet provide starting blocks?
The facility will provide starting blocks for 200m athletes.
What kind of shoes can I wear?
Racing shoes, sneakers, or flats. If you wear spikes, the Ott Center is requiring you wear 1/4” pyramid spikes only. All footwear in the Ott Center will be checked prior to competition.
Can I add an event or change my seed time for an event?
The registration deadline is March 6, or until capacity is reached.

Are there prizes for winners?
Yes. There will be prizes for winners for the fast sections of the 200m, 800m, Mile and 3K for men, women, and non-binary athletes. Prizes may be cash or gifts; details are yet to be determined.
Will there be sections for master's runners (40+)?
We will have a sections for Men and Women's Master's athletes for the Mile and 200m. These sections will be reserved for the 15 fastest Master's athletes based on seed time (top-6 for 200m athletes). All other Master's runners will be distributed to mixed gender "Community: heats according to their seed time.
Can I spectate?
Yes, there is a capacity for 1,000 spectators. Tickets will be available through Penn and can be purchased in-person at the ticket window.
What is "PRTC"?
We are PRTC! PRTC stands for Philadelphia Runner Track Club. We were founded in 2000 as an athlete organized and operated competitive running team, we quickly grew to attract national-level talent from the greater Philadelphia area. In 2017 the team became an incorporated non-profit, and currently competes in the USATF Mid-Atlantic Grand Prix, USATF Club XC Nationals. We have over 200 members and our mission is to promote and foster the development of post-collegiate runners in the Philadelphia and the pursuit of their running goals. We offer training groups, coaching, sponsorship support, and above all, a community for runners looking to compete in track, road, cross country, and trail events on the local and national level.
