Bradford County’s half marathon will take place along the beautiful shores of the Susquehanna River on October 5th, 2019. Runners will experience 1219 ft of elevation change throughout the race, enjoying some challenging hills and valleys! But it is a great chance to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage and support a great cause for Down Syndrome Awareness. All participants are invited to bring family and friends on Friday evening to enjoy refreshments as they pick up their race packets. Local hotels and motels will be offering special rates, and the Hornbrook campground will offer free camping to all runners.
We are also excited to have relay teams as part of the event this year! If you're not quite ready to complete a 1/2 marathon on your own, get some friends together and come out and enjoy some friendly competition! Teams must be a group of 4 and each member of the team will be doing a 5K distance.
Marathon runners may sponsor a local child with Down Syndrome by wearing a blue or yellow ribbon. Ribbons are available Friday evening or Saturday morning. there is no cost for the ribbons this year! At the end of the race, runners will have the opportunity to meet their buddy.
