BOTH RACES WILL START TOGETHER.  
BOTH RACES START AT 9am!

RunPA is pleased to bring you a VERY SPECIAL half marathon located in  the heart of Amish Country where the whistle of steam engines echo in the distance as you run the rolling country backroads through some of the best farmland in the area. Most of which are preserved by the work done at the Lancaster Farmland Trust.
Run by the Harrison Ford film favorite "Witness" Farm in Lancaster County.  The race is an open road race with traffic control at intersections. Count the horses, count the cows, how many farmstands will you pass?  The Strasburg Half Marathon is regarded as a wonderful destination run with rolling hills and climbs with beautiful scenery  and views as you pass working farms all along the route.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
BOTH RACES ARE TIMED EVENTS

  • 7:30am-8:30am - BIB PICKUP
  • REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 8:30AM so please arrive early and with enough time to pick up.
  • 8:45am - RACE ANNOUNCEMENTS AT PAVILION
  • 9:00am HALF MARATHON START & 5K together 

BOTH The Half Marathon & 5K will start on Miller Street a short walk from the entrance of the park.  BOTH races will finish inside the park near the pavilion.  The Half Marathon is a race and not for walkers or strollers.  There are traffic control measures on the course by the fire/police.  THIS IS AN OPEN ROAD EVENT. There will be a sweeper on a bicycle following the last runner.  There will be aid stations at about every 3 miles.  4 Aid Stations on the Half Marathon.  There is a 3-1/2 hour cut off this year.  After 3-1/2 hours there will no longer be traffic control on the course.  ALL RUNNERS WILL RUN AGAINST TRAFFIC during the race with the exception of the start.

HALF MARATHON ROUTE INFORMATION:

  • This is an OPEN ROAD event all runners must run against traffic at all times with the exception of the start of the race.
  • All race participants to enter the Strasburg Half Marathon must be 14 years of age or older and have parent/guardian consent to run if under the age of 18 along with a signed waiver.
  • Aid stations will be approximately every 3 miles.  They will be equipped with water and sports drink electrolytes.  If you require gu's, gels or anything else please be sure to carry then along with you on the course. There will also be a porta potty at each aid station.
  • Please note NO STROLLERS ALLOWED ON THE HALF MARATHON COURSE.
  • Bib numbers must be worn on the front of the runner and visible at all times.
  • Please see out "Turn by Turn" directions and also the link for the course map.
  • Course will be marked with Yellow Half Marathon Directional Signs.
  • HEADPHONE POLICY:  The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, The Strasburg Half Marathon & 5K encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of The Strasburg Half Marathon & 5K races.
  • This race is considered a fun destination run experience with scenic farmland and rolling country backroads with hills and views.

HALF MARATHON COURSE TURN BY TURN DIRECTIONS

The race will start on Miller st outside the park.   

From Miller/Main it’s a RIGHT ONTO S JACKSON 
S Jackson turns into Bunker Hill Road 
Follow Bunker Hill up and over the hill until you come to Weaver RD
Make a left onto Weaver RD
Follow Weaver to Winter Hill RD
Right onto Winter Hill RD
LEFT onto Stively Rd

Right onto Winter Hill

RIght onto Old Rd

Right onto Sandstone Rd

Right onto Bunker Hill Rd

Left onto Dieter Rd

Right on Walnut Run Rd

Right onto Lime Valley then straight onto Twin Elm Rd

Left onto Hager Rd

Right onto Lime Valley and onto Miller Street for the finish LEFT BACK into the park

 

5K ROUTE INFORMATION:

  • Course will be marked with White 5K Directional Signs.
  • HEADPHONE POLICY:  The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race.   • AWARDS CEREMONY WILL FOLLOW ONCE EACH RACE IS FINISHING.  AWARD CEREMONY FOR THE 5K WILL BE SEPERATE AND BEFORE THE HALF MARATHON.

5K COURSE ROUTE TURN BY TURN DIRECTIONS:
The race will start on Miller st outside the park.  Right where Hampden Drive is.  From Miller/Main  it’s a right onto S Jackson St 

RIGHT ONTO TWIN ELM ROAD

RIGHT ONTO HAGER ROAD

Right onto Lime Valley and onto Miller Street for the finish LEFT BACK into the park

AGE REQUIREMENTS:  

  • STRASBURG HALF MARATHON:  ALL race participants to enter the Strasburg Half Marathon must be 14 years of age or older and have parent/guardian consent to run if under the age of 18 along with a signed waiver.
  • STRASBURG 5K: All Race participants to enter the Strasburg 5K must be 8 years of age or older and have parent/guardian consent to run if under the age of 18 along with a signed waiver.

PET POLICY  The Strasburg Half Marathon has a  “no pets allowed” for runners on the course.  Well behaved pets may be on the the property and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

HEADPHONE POLICY:  The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, The Strasburg Half Marathon & 5K encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of The Strasburg Half Marathon & 5K races.

We believe your race experience and those around you will be greatly enhanced by leaving the headphones at home or in the car. Running headphone-free allows opportunities to develop camaraderie with your fellow runners and to enjoy everything the race has to offer. Plus, volunteers and spectators will be on course cheering you on and providing directions to help get you to the finish line.

Runner safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority for our event. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.

AID STATIONS:

HALF MARATHON COURSE

Aid stations will be approximately every 3 miles.  They will be equipped with water and sports drink electrolytes.  If you require gu's, gels or anything else please be sure to carry then along with you on the course. There will also be a porta potty at each aid station on the half marathon course. 

5K COURSE

There will be one aid station providing a water only stop along the 5K Route.  Strollers are allowed on the 5K Route

Strollers are permitted on the 5K course ONLY, and must line up behind the runners  

Aid Station at the Finish Line will have drinks & snacks.

AWARDS

The awards ceremony will follow once each race is finishing. The award ceremony for the 5K will be separate and before the half marathon.  The awards ceremony will start once we have the bulk of the runners in.

PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT save or ship any awards.  If you are not present for your award please arrange for someone to be present to accept it for you.

Awards will be presented to the

TOP 3 OVERALL MALE / TOP 3 OVERALL FEMALE FINISHERS FROM EACH RACE.

 

 

HALF MARATHON RACE PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE:

  • Moisture wicking t-shirt available in unisex sizing - MUST REGISTER BEFORE SEPTEMBER 10, 2025 TO BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT

Race Day Registration fees will be $95 for the Half Marathon & $50 for the 5K

The Strasburg Half aka The Strasburg Half Marathon is an event professionally put on by Every Mountain Outdoors, RunPA & RunPA.org 

Both the Strasburg Half Marathon and 5K courses are unique to this race and were planned for this event alone and owned by RunPA.
