Zephyr 5K

Race Purpose: Welcome to the inaugural Zephyr 5K! This year, the Zephyr 5K will help raise funds for the 22q Family Foundation. 22q Deletion Syndrome is caused by a missing piece of the 22 nd chromosome and can affect every system in the body. The funds will be put towards research to find a cure for this very rare disease. Educators from the Whitehall-Coplay School District are partnering with the Bryn Mawr Racing Company to help bring the community together in support of this great cause.

Location: Registration will take place at the WCSD Transportation parking lot starting at 7:30 am the day of the race.

Awards: The Top Two Finishers in each age group will receive awards as well as the Top Three Finishers overall. The age groups are broken down as follows:

• 19 and Under
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60 and over

Entry: Price through June 4th - $30 (adults) and $10 (children ages 10 & under);

Price after that date (including race day) - $40 (adults) and $15 (children ages 10 & under)

Amenities: The course will start on Zephyr Blvd. near the WCSD Transportation parking lot and go throughout the entire district campus, ending at the track. There will be water available at the completion of the race. All runners will receive a t-shirt at the time of race day registration for participants registered prior to June 4th. There will be vendors available to purchase concessions. There will be also be a Kids Run that goes around the track following the timed adult races. The Kids Run requires registration and the races will occur by age groups.
