Description
Join us for our Annual Walk with our first annual 5K Run and 1 mile kids fun run! Saturday, June 2nd at Kirby Park.
Our walk started in 1998 when our center first opened and has been our largest event ever since. All of the proceeds from this event go directly to the center to provide FREE services to our patients and their caregivers during treatment. Candy's Place is a vital part of the NEPA region and we want to continue to spread more awareness about our cause. We offer an array of services from Healing Arts therapies, to exercise classes and supports groups. We want to continue to fulfill the mission Candy left her sister, Penny with and that is to give a home like environment to those in our area dealing with cancer.

Course Description
1mi Youth Run – Sprint run around Kirby Park’s trail start to finish.
5K run/walk – Start off begins at pavilion 2. Run the trail towards the tennis courts and up the dike. Follow the dike towards the Market street bridge and go underneath it. Follow it back up, over towards forty fort, turn around and head back to the finish at the pavilion where it all started.
NO PETS OR STROLLERS ALLOWED ON COURSE, BUT AS SPECTATORS IN DESIGNATED AREAS ARE WELCOME.
BRING CASH AS WE WILL HAVE VENDORS AT THIS EVENT :)
DAY OF REGISTRANTS MUST PAY IN CASH OR CHECK.
Awards
**T-Shirt to all participants.
Top male and female for each race will receive a medal.
5K: Top three males / females for each race in the following age groups will receive medals: 15 and under (3), 16-19 (3), 20-24 (3), 25-29 (3), 30-34 (3), 35-39 (3), 40-44 (3), 45-49 (3), 50-54 (3), 55-59 (3), 60-64 (3), 65-69 (2), 70 and over (1).
1Mile: Top 3 Male/Female will receive medals: 6& younger, 7-8, 9-10, & 11-12
