What you need:
Running Shoes
A proper pair of running shoes is critical to an active lifestyle. Running shoes should be lightweight, breathable, and comfortable.
Basketball shoes, cleats, and/or Crocs should be avoided if possible.
Please email community@playmakers.com if you need help finding proper footwear for your child.


Proper Clothing
Kids Run Club will take place outside during the spring. Temperatures can vary widely. Please ensure your child is equipped with proper attire to participate comfortably. When in doubt, layering is often the best strategy.
A lightweight zip up jacket with a short sleeve t-shirt underneath and either athletic pants or shorts will allow your child to adapt to a variety of temperatures.
Water Bottle
Please ensure your child is equipped with a water bottle - especially during warmer days.
Proper hydration is key not only for optimal performance, but is also an important safety consideration.
Encourage your child to drink water when thirsty throughout the day.
