FAQs
An athlete email will go out during race week with all details. We will update this page leading up to race day should additional questions need answering:
- WATER STOPS, will you have any? Yes. There will be one water stop approximately at the half way point. It will serve water only and volunteers will be handing you cups of water as you pass by. Please be sure to let them know as you approach the water stop if you would like to be served.
- AWARD CATEGORIES, what are they? We will award the Top 3 overall Men and Women. As the event grows in future years we will implement age group awards. All finishers will receive a finisher's medal.
- PACKET PICK UP, when is it? We will post final packet pick up times in the athlete email and to the event website soon. All packet pick up will take place on Saturday. Click HERE to be taken to the Packet Pick Up page.
- COURSE DISTANCE, is it exact? No. This course is not exactly 4 kilometers. In order to provide a finish experience along the 18th hole the course will be a little short. You can view the course map HERE
- LATE REGISTRATIONS, will there be enough shirts and medals? Yes, and maybe no. We have ordered a set number of shirts and medals which we feel will be enough even for late registrations. If for any reason the event grows beyond these expectations we will not be able to order additional items. At this point we fully expect to have enough of both for everyone.
- ELEVATION, is it hilly? Yes. We won't sugar coat it for you. Thornblade is a hilly area. Don't worry though, we won't tell anyone if you have to walk a hill or two.
