In consideration of the acceptance of my entry and participation in the Dawg Dash event, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, assume all risk of injury, harm or damage to myself or others arising from my participation in this event, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless any sponsor(s), their agent and assigns, the University of Washington, the UW Alumni Association, event volunteers and all other persons or entities associated with this event, against any liability, actions, claims and damages of any kind whatsoever arising from or related to my participation, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and all costs of litigation. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for completion of the Dawg Dash event.

I know that my participation in the Dawg Dash event, whether running, walking or assisting at the event or on the racecourse is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and have properly trained for the physical exertion, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I have properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official regarding any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them.  I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to, falls, physical contact with other participants, volunteers, race personnel, contract service providers, employees, or spectators including the potential for the contraction of a communicable disease resulting from contact with other participants, volunteers, race personnel, contract service providers, employees, and spectators. I assume all risks including: the effects of the weather; high heat and/or humidity; freezing cold temperatures; traffic and the conditions of the road including surrounding terrain, participant collisions and spectator behavior fully and voluntarily accept all such risks, known and unknown to me, related to the event, my participation and others in attendance and along the racecourse. I will also abide by all race rules and directives.
