Terms and Conditions of Participation
By registering for and participating in the Moose Ridge Golf Course 5K & 1K Fun Run, all participants agree to the following terms and conditions:
All participants must complete the registration form and sign a waiver prior to starting the race.
2. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability
Participation is at the individual’s own risk.
Participants acknowledge that running or walking on a golf course may involve uneven surfaces, hills, and natural hazards (e.g., sand traps, water features, wildlife).
By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks of injury or property damage.
Moose Ridge Golf Course, event organizers, sponsors, staff, and volunteers are not liable for any injury, accident, loss, or damage resulting from participation in the event.
3. Medical Consent
Participants consent to receive emergency medical treatment if required during the event.
It is the participant’s responsibility to be physically fit and properly trained for the race distance.
If you have any medical conditions that could affect your participation, you should consult a physician before registering and participating.
4. Event Rules
The course will be clearly marked. Participants must stay on designated paths and obey all signage and marshal instructions.
Golf course etiquette must be observed at all times—no littering, damaging turf, or entering restricted areas.
Pets are not allowed on the course during the race.
5. Race Timing & Results
The overall 1K and 5K race will be timed by a race clock at the Start/Finish line. It is the participants own responsibility to note their personal time if wanted.
Results will not posted online.
Prizes or awards are at the discretion of the organizers and are final.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
This event is rain or shine. However, organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the race due to severe weather or unsafe course conditions.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations due to weather, force majeure, or participant withdrawal.
7. Photo Release
By participating, you grant permission to Moose Ridge Golf Course and event organizers to use photos, video, and/or audio taken during the event for promotional purposes without compensation.
8. Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward staff, volunteers, and other runners.
Any participant violating these rules or engaging in unsafe behavior may be removed from the event.
