This 5K walk/run takes place at Chase Palm Park — a flat, scenic 3.1-mile oceanfront course along Cabrillo Blvd, adjacent to East Beach- perfect for walkers and runners of all levels and ages. Your participation will help bring clean water to 16,000 people in 16 rural Ethiopian villages - all  while enjoying a fun, active day for a great cause.

The Kids Fun Run/Walk invites children ages 0–10 to enjoy a shorter, untimed, kid-friendly course—one to two miles—held at Chase Palm Park, at the same time and along the same oceanfront route as the Walk for Water 5K walk/run. Parents are welcome (and encouraged) to walk or run alongside their children for a safe and fun experience! 

The Virtual 5K allows participants from anywhere in the world to complete and log their own 3.1-mile walk or run through the Strava app. By participating anytime between May 16 and May 23, 2026, from wherever you are—you'll help the event reach its fundraising goal to bring clean water to 16,000 people in 16 rural Ethiopian villages, creating meaningful, lasting change in the lives of countless women and girls who have traditionally shouldered the daily burden of collecting water for their families.

The “Donate Only” option is perfect for those who are unable or prefer not to participate in the 5K walk/run but still want to support the cause.
