By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant and covenant as follows:

I (we) understand that participating in this event is potentially hazardous, and that I (we) should not enter and participate unless I (we) am/are medically able and properly trained.  I (we) agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run.  In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur while I (we) am/are traveling to or from the event, during the event, or while I (we) am/are on the premises of the event.  I (we) also am/are aware of and assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, effect of weather including high heat & humidity, traffic and conditions of the road.  I (we), for myself/ourselves and my heirs and executors, hereby waive, release and forever discharge Valley Isle Road Runners Association, The County of Maui, The State of Hawaii, Road Runners Club of America, event sponsors, promoters, RunSignUp and each of their agents, representatives, successors and assigns, and all other persons associated with the event, for all of my liabilities, claims, actions, or damages that I may have against them arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in this event.

I (we) understand that this waiver includes any claims, whether caused by negligence, the action or inaction of any of the above parties, or otherwise.

I (we) understand that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.  ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  I (we) hereby grant full permission to any and all of the above parties to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, website images, recordings or any other record of this event.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts in and consideration of your accepting this entry, I AM A CAPTAIN/COORDINATOR REGISTERING AN ENTIRE TEAM, I represent that I have been authorized by my teammates to execute this Release on their behalf as their agent, and my signature constitutes acceptance of this Release by me and by the other participants on my team. I (we) further agree to fully defend, indemnify, and bold harmless the Hana Relay Released Parties regarding any claims by my teammates, waive and release the Valley Isle Road Runners Association, The County of Maui, The State of Hawaii, Road Runners Club of America, and all sponsors and their representatives and successors, for all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of our participation of this event. Further, I (we) give permission to Valley Isle Road Runners to record and use my (our) image, voice and name for publication and distribution.
