I know that participating in the Family of New Paltz 5K Turkey Trot event can be potentially hazardous activities. I agree not to enter and participate unless I and/or my child are medically able and properly trained. I am voluntarily entering and assume all risks associated with participating in the event, including, but not limited to, falls, contact with vehicles, other participants, spectators, wildlife or others, the effect of weather, including high heat, extreme cold and/or humidity, traffic and conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.   Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself, my child and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release race directors and volunteers, the Family of New Paltz, Family of Woodstock Inc, the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail Association, Water Street Market and the Town and Village of New Paltz, from all liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of any persons or organizations named in this waiver. I understand that dogs, bicycles, skateboards, inline skates and radio headsets are not allowed in the race and I will abide by this rule.
