I know that running a race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run/walk unless I am medically able and properly
trained. I agree to abide by the decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running/
walking this event including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, and the effect of the environment, including weather, traffic, and conditions of the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these effects and in consideration of my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Town of Cortlandt and all sponsors, their representatives, and successors from all claims of liability of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waive. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use photographs, recording or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand bicycles, skateboards, roller skates/blades, and animals are not allowed in this race/walk and I will abide by these guidelines.

I agree, or agree on behalf of my minor child, to assume (i) all risk of personal injury or loss; (ii) bodily injury; and (iii) damage to, loss of, loss of, or destruction of any personal property resenting from or arising out of participation in the designated activity. I also relate, wave, identify, hold harmless, and discharge the town of Cortlandt from all claims, damages, and injuries arising out of my or my minor child’s actives, including my or my minor child’s use of equipment and facilities provided by the town of Cortlandt. By accepting this wave, you are singing this agreement.

By participating in any programs sponsored by the Town of Cortlandt, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVIID-19, and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participation. Ii agree that if I am exposed to or infected by COVID-19 during my participation in any programs sponsored by the Town of Cortlandt, then my heirs, successors, assigns, and I have waved any right to maintain a lawsuit against the Town of Cortlandt for exposure to COVID-19, and my heirs, assign, and I shall hold the town of Cortlandt harmless with respect to any damages incurred from contracting COVID-19.
