I agree and acknowledge that running, walking and volunteering to work and participate in club races, including the GWTC 10 and 5 Mile Challenge Races (hereafter “Challenge Races”) are potentially hazardous activities including, but not limited to the following hazards: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, including being hit by a car, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I should not enter to run or walk in any of the Challenge Races unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to complete the race. I assume all risks associated with running, walking and volunteering to participate in the Challenge Races. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my request to participate in the Challenge Races, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Road Runners Club of America, the Gulf Winds Track Club, Inc, Gulf Winds Triathletes Club, and all the of Clubs’ officers, employees, sponsors, volunteers, agents, and representatives, and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the Challenge Races even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.

If you are registering a child under the age of 18 or a vulnerable adult, or other family member that you represent as the parent or legal guardian of that party and have the legal authority and capacity to enter into this Agreement and Waiver on his/her behalf and by proceeding with registration for the membership and club activities, you agree that the terms of this Agreement and Waiver shall apply equally to all of the Registered Parties

In addition, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 or other communicable diseases by participating in this event. I acknowledge that such exposures or infections may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that there may be a risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 in connection with my participation in this event and I personally assume all of this risk.

I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.  I understand that this event does not provide for refunds in the event of a cancellation, and by signing this waiver, I consent that I am not entitled to a refund if the event is cancelled before or during the event.
