Race Waiver, Consent & Release To photograph videotape and/or publish image

I acknowledge that running or walking in a road race is a potentially dangerous activity. I should not enter and run or walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run/walk. I assume all risk associated with running or walking in this event, including, but not limited to, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including cold temperatures, rain and/or snow, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risk being known and appreciated by me. Having this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release, the April Fools Marathon & it's committee, the City of Jackson, and all race sponsors, and their representatives and successors, from all claims of liabilities of any kind arising out of this event. 

I understand and acknowledge that dogs are not permitted at this event, service dogs excluded. Should I, or my family or friends bring a dog to the event, I will be immediately disqualified from the event. The full no dog policy is posted on our Run Signup page under Race Info.      

I consent and authorize the April Fools Marathon & it's committee, and its employees or authorize other, to interview, televise, videotape, broadcast, photograph, or publish display a story or article about me or someone for whom I am authorized to sign. I understand and therefore, I release the April Fools Marathon & it's committee, its employees and authorized others from any and all liability that may result from my authorization and consent to such interview, news release, photographs, video tape, or published article.

By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver.
