Participant Waiver and Release
In consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound, hereby waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Event Director, RunSignup.com, their agents, sponsors and representatives, volunteers, and employees for any and all injuries to myself or my personal property. This release applies to injuries and/or damages sustained before, during, or after the event. I understand and agree that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, and assignees.
I acknowledge that participating in a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter or participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and course conditions. I waive any claims arising from these and other risks commonly associated with such events. I acknowledge that all such risks are known and understood by me. I agree to abide by all decisions of race officials regarding my ability to safely complete the event. I certify that I am physically fit, have been sufficiently trained for this event, and that my condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor.
In the event of illness, injury, or medical emergency during the event, I authorize the Event Director to secure treatment deemed necessary from any accredited hospital, clinic, or physician for my immediate care. I agree to be fully responsible for the payment of all medical services rendered to me, including but not limited to transportation, medications, treatment, and hospitalization.
I agree to abide by the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest that I have read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov. I also agree to comply with any COVID-19 safety guidelines issued by the state, local authorities, or event organizers.
Further, I grant permission to use my name, voice, and likeness in any photographs, videos, recordings, or publications of this event for legitimate purposes.
This event follows the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters or emergencies) or to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We also reserve the right to modify event details without prior notice. I understand that my entry fee is non-refundable and that bib numbers are non-transferable.
By submitting this entry, I acknowledge that I have read and agreed to the above release and waiver, including the no-refund policy. For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must consent on their behalf.
