By your participation in the race, and in consideration of Event Promoters, as that term is defined below, accepting your entry into the race, you on behalf of yourself and any minor children or minors over which you have legal control or guardianship (collectively, “the Participant” whether one or more) intending to be legally bound do hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that Participant may have against the Event Director, Cornerstone Christian School, Global Evangelism, Inc., RunSignup.com, and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers and employees (collectively “Event Promoters”) for any and all injuries, losses, claims, that may arise as a result of Participants participation in the race. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by Participant before, during or after the race event. Participant understands and agrees that this release is binding on Participant’s heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.
By participating in the race, Participant understands and agrees that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. Participant should not enter or run or otherwise participate unless Participant is medically able to do so and properly trained. Participant assumes all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and course conditions, and waive any and all claims which Participant might have based on any of those and other risks typically found in running a race be it on the road, on private property or in a building. Participant acknowledges all such risks are known and understood by Participant. Participant agrees to abide by all decisions of any Event Promoter, or their official, relative to Participant’s ability to safely complete the run. Participant certifies as a material condition to being permitted to enter this race that Participant is physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that a licensed Medical Doctor has verified Participant’s physical condition.
In the event of an illness, injury or medical emergency arising during the event Participant hereby authorizes and gives their consent to the Event Director to secure from any accredited hospital, clinic and/ or physician any treatment deemed necessary for Participant’s immediate care. Participant agrees that they will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to Participant including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.
As it applies to Participant ‘s participation in this race, Participant hereby agrees to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html. Participant also agrees to abide by any COVID-19 distancing and other safety guidelines issued by the state, the community or by this race for my participation in this race.
Further, Participant grants permission to all the Event Promoters to use their name, voice and images in any photographs, motion pictures, results, publications or any other print, videographic or electronic recording of this event for legitimate purposes.
This event follows the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. Event Director reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond their control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice. Participant understand that their entry fee is nonrefundable and bib numbers are non transferable.
By submitting this entry, Participant acknowledges (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) to having read and agreed to the above release and waiver including the no refund policy.
