The Run/Walk to Save a Life 5K has been canceled this weekend.
Packet Pickup is also canceled.
We have been notified by the Mayor and the Hamden Emergency Management Team that weather conditions are expected to worsen and as a result the Town has canceled the race due to the foretasted nor'easter, severe weather and high winds.
The Town determined that because the Farmington Canal Trail is surrounded by trees, and the anticipated conditions and strong wind gusts could create unsafe circumstances for participants and volunteers and the race may not proceed this weekend.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued support of our events and this great charity.
We very much hope to bring everyone together for the race on a new date and we are working with our team to explore rescheduling options. We will share an update as soon as we know more.
